Mint Herbal Tea
Just like tea, mint herbal tea decreases the body’s absorption of iron. It’s best to consume herbal tea at least one hour before or after a meal in order to optimize iron absorption from that meal. This is particularly important for people who need more iron (anemia, pregnancy, breastfeeding, etc.).
