Overall, the researched effects are: reduction in the sensation of fatigue; stimulation of the nervous, hear, and respiration system; best used to burn fat by stimulating the production of adrenaline; and acceleration of reaction time. However, taking a dose of caffeine before a workout is not a good idea, because coffee decreases the blood flow to the heart, and so the body is less-oxygenated. By the same logic, coffee is also not recommended for those with heart conditions.
