It’s perhaps the best oilseed fruit in terms of taste, but not as rich as its cousins… The cashew nut grows on a “fake fruit” known as the cashew apple, even though it’s actually the shape of a pear. The cashew apple, colored yellow or red, is widely consumed in Brazil, raw, cooked or in juice.
